Wycombe Museum has provided a much loved and valued service to the local community over the last 50 years. It is known fondly amongst locals as 'the chair museum'.
On the 1st December 2016 the Museum became part of the Wycombe Heritage & Arts Trust. We are now a registered charity and we must become self-sustainable to survive.
The Museum is located in Castle Hill House; a Grade 2 listed building on Priory Avenue which is a minute or two walk from the train station and High Wycombe town centre. The Museum is located within a lovely oasis of greenery which is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
The Museum is free to visit and is open everyday. It has seven exhibition galleries, a cafe, a shop and two hireable conference rooms. It offers over 200 events every year ranging from beer tasting for adults, craft workshops for children to big fun community days out for the whole family. We rely heavily on our volunteers who support us from the local community.
